The Technical Program Committee for the ACOFT&AOS 2006 Conference will accept a limited number of postdeadline papers for presentation. Oral presentations for accepted papers will be given on Wednesday 12th July. The purpose of the postdeadline papers is to give participants the opportunity to hear new and significant material in rapidly advancing areas. Only those papers judged to be truly excellent and compelling in their timeliness will be accepted.

A list of accepted papers, presentation times and locations will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.

Submission Deadline - Monday 3rd July at 12.00pm

The Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology will be held jointly with a meeting of the Australian Optical Society from 10 – 13 July 2006 in Melbourne. ACOFT/AOS is the premier Australian conference for photonics and optical science and will showcase internationally competitive research in components, systems, networks and fundamental science.

Submissions imply the intent of at least one author to register, attend the ACOFT/AOS 2006 Conference, present the final paper and authorise ACOFT/AOS 2006 to print your abstract and publish your final paper on CD-ROM if your paper is selected.

The Wanda Henry Prize
The Wanda Henry Prize of $250 will be presented to a full-time tertiary education student who presents the best oral paper or poster at ACOFT. To be eligible for this prize the student should tick the Wanda Henry Prize box when registering.

Technical Co-Sponsorship
Conference is receiving technical co-sponsorship by the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society.
